Where to install a Spirotop Automatic Air Vent?
Where to install a Spirovent Deaerator?
Where to install a Spirovent Dirt Separator?
Will the Spirovent unit ever clog?

How to maintain the Spirovent unit?

Where can I purchase a Spirovent Unit?

Spirotop Automatic Air Vents should be mounted at any high point where air will be collected and at places where air pockets occur. The housing must be installed vertically with the connection at the bottom.

Note: An Automatic Air Vent only removes free air. To deaerate the system a Spirovent Microbubble Deaerator must also be fitted.

Spirovent Deaerators should be mounted at the hottest point of the system, preferably with the lowest pressure. Installation before the pump prevents accumulation of micro bubbles around the pump axle which causes a lower pump head.

For a heating system this means in the main directly after the boiler, in a cooling system the Spirovent should be placed in the main return.

Before the component you wish to protect. A Spirovent Dirt Separator should always be mounted in the systems main pipework, since dirt particles always flow with the main stream and let themselves hardly bend into a bypass line. For both heating and cooling systems, the Dirt Separator should be placed in the return line.

Since we separate dirt and remove it from the flow into the dirt collection chamber, in normal conditions a Spirovent won't clog. This also means that a Spirovent has no increase in pressure drop or flow resistance.

For a deaerator ther is no maintenance required at all. Cleaning the dirt unit only requires blowing down during commissioning and thean on a quarterly basis by opening the drain valve.
