SpiroExpand TopControl Modular ETCM
The SpiroExpand TopControl Modular is an expansion and pressure maintenance unit in modular design for combination with pressureless EC expansion vessels (safety valve 0.5 bar) and a usable upper pressure of up to 23.5 bar.
The three TopControl Modular systems and the standard upward extended working pressure range enable a wide range of applications:
- Solo: Single pump system, pump and overflow valve designed for 100% of the expansion volume flow.
- Duo: Double pumping system, pumps convey in parallel, allowing a greater expansion volume flow to be achieved. The overflow valve is designed for this volume flow.
- Maxi: double pump system, the pumps and overflow valve are designed for 100% of the expansion volume flow. The 2nd pump serves as a back-up (fail-safe).
The Duo and Maxi systems also have the option of a double valve system (Twin), two overflow valves designed for 100% of the expansion volume flow.
SpiroExpand TopControl Modular systems are available with a usable upper pressure of up to 23.5 bar.
For example: the ETCM-M4.7-23.5-twin is a TopControl Modular with MAXI dual pump system. The working pressure is between 4.7 and 23.5 bar and the system is equipped with 2 overflow valves (twin).
Advantages of the SpiroExpand TopControl Modular
- Already in the basic configuration, four potential-free signal contacts (fault, warning, replenishment active, device function activated) are available!
- In the family of TopControl devices, even the basic equipment always includes two analogue standard signals (4-20 mA): "current tank level [%]" and "current system pressure [bar]" for connection to a system checked on site.
- The self-supporting construction and the casing ensure the lowest possible sound transmission.
- The use of electronically speed-controlled pressure maintenance pumps and electric overflow valves results in a huge range of applications for the individual device types.
- The connections for integration into the system (extension line, supplement) are located on both sides of the device.

The TopControl Modular units are designed to capture the volume of expansion and maintain a constant pressure in closed hot water heating, air conditioning and refrigeration systems in accordance with DIN EN 12828.

Software updates should only be performed by our factory customer service or by trained service partners who are familiar with the devices and are aware of potential hazards and risks caused by software updates. In the event of non-conformity and direct or consequential damage, any warranty or warranty claim is excluded.

Taking into account the VDI4708 and VDI2035 guidelines, Spirotech recommends the use of a separate microbubble deaerator or vacuum degasser to ensure optimal degassing of heating and cooling systems.
