Why a heat pump needs the SpiroTrap HPF
Heat pumps are highly sensitive to contamination such as rust, sludge, sand, and magnetite. Even small particles can reduce performance, cause malfunctions, and lead to expensive repairs. The SpiroTrap HPF protects the system from day one.
What makes the SpiroTrap HPF unique:
- Fine mesh filter – captures high-risk particles >160 μm
- Powerful magnet – removes magnetic dirt down to the micrometre range
- Patented SpiroTube – slows the flow and guides dirt toward the collection zone
Effortless operation with the MultiMode Swivel
The SpiroTrap HPF is equipped with a MultiMode Swivel (patent pending), a smart rotary knob that lets you position and operate the filter exactly as needed. The knob controls the water flow through the unit and features three clear modes:
- Normal operation
System water continuously flows through the filter, capturing dirt particles to protect the heat pump. - Backflush mode
Water flows in reverse through the filter and flushes out accumulated dirt via the drain valve: quick, clean, and tool-free. - Closed mode
The flow is stopped so the filter can be safely cleaned.
This gives installers complete control while keeping maintenance fast, clean, and predictable.
