Field Service Engineer
Full-time (40 hours per week)
The Role
As a Field Service Engineer, you play a key role in ensuring the optimal performance of Spirotech systems at customer sites across the UK, with a primary focus on the London region. You will be part of our UK Service team, reporting to the Service Manager. Your expertise, customer focus, and ability to deliver high-quality technical support make you an essential representative of our organisation.
Purpose of the Role
To install, commission, service, and troubleshoot Spirotech products at customer locations—ensuring system reliability, maximum uptime, and excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Installation & Commissioning
- Commission Spirotech equipment according to company standards and technical documentation.
- Verify correct installation, system operation, and integration.
- Conduct functional testing and deliver a clear handover to customers.
Service & Maintenance
- Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on Spirotech units.
- Carry out inspections, adjustments, and performance checks.
- Identify wear or potential failures and advise on corrective actions.
Fault Finding & Troubleshooting
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control-related issues.
- Complete repairs efficiently to minimise downtime.
- Provide reliable technical solutions, even under time-critical conditions.
Customer Support & Documentation
- Act as a professional point of contact for customers, contractors, and site personnel.
- Explain system functions and recommendations clearly and confidently.
- Complete service reports and commissioning documentation accurately and on time.
- Escalate complex technical issues to the engineering or technical support team when needed.
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Work in accordance with company and site-specific safety requirements.
- Ensure all activities meet relevant UK regulations and industry standards.
- Maintain tools, test equipment, and the company vehicle in good working condition
Profile
- You have completed a technical education in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering.
- You bring experience from a field service, commissioning, or maintenance engineering environment.
- Experience with HVAC, pressurisation, or water treatment systems is highly desirable.
- You have an excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- You hold a valid UK driving licence.
